On the way from Donauwörth to Meitingen, many small villages are crossed. We go past the monastery of Holzen, which was founded in 1150, according to a tradition.

From Meitingen to Augsburg, we go along the Lech canal. Here, the tour which runs slightly off the canal is described. There is also the possibility to walk directly along the water of the canal.

On the pilgrim route VIA ROMEA from Augsburg to Igling, we cross some smaller villages, such as “Königsbrunn” and “Untermeitingen” with the monastery of Lechfeld (Kloster Lechfeld).
