The route follows the ‘North Sea Path’ along the coast and the rushing North Sea.
Past Rubjerg Knude lighthouse at 83 meters, the 120-year-old lighthouse, which in 2019 in a spectacular way, was moved 70 m. away from the sand dunes so that it did not fall into the water! Past the many holiday towns to the ‘Limfjord’ and by the remains of the old Viking castle at Aggersund. The tour ends in Viborg, Sunday with high mass in the Cathedral.

Ruten følger ’Nordsøstien’ langs kysten og det brusende Vesterhav.
Forbi Rubjerg Knude fyr på 83 meter, det 120 år gamle fyr, der i 2019 på spektakulær måde, blev flyttet 70 m. væk fra sandklitterne, så det ikke væltede i vandet! Forbi de mange feriebyer frem til ’Limfjorden’ og ved resterne af den gamle vikingeborg ved Aggersund. Turen slutter i Viborg, søndag med andagt i Domkirken.

Die Route folgt dem „Nordseeweg“ entlang der Küste und der rauschenden Nordsee.
Vorbei am 83 Meter hohen Leuchtturm Rubjerg Knude, dem 120 Jahre alten Leuchtturm, der 2019 auf spektakuläre Art und Weise 70 Meter von den Sanddünen versetzt wurde, damit er nicht ins Wasser fällt! Vorbei an den vielen Ferienorten zum Limfjord und an den Überresten der alten Wikingerburg in Aggersund. Die Tour endet in Viborg am Sonntag mit einem Gottesdienst im Dom.

Departure Sunday afternoon to Hald and the beautiful ”hills” in Dollerup. Through heaths and plantations. We hike on the ridge of Jutland to the Viking Kings’ Jelling, which is inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List. We visit the exciting experience center, which tells the story of the Viking Age, the Danish kings and their buildings and the transition to Christianity. We attend Sunday’s service in the historic church.

Afgang søndag eftermiddag til Hald og de flotte bakker i Dollerup. Igennem hedekrat og plantager. Vi vandrer på højderyggen af Jylland til vikingekongernes Jelling, der er optaget på Unesco’s Verdensarvliste. Vi besøger det spændende oplevelsescenter, der fortæller historien om vikingetiden, om de danske konger og deres byggerier og skiftet til kristendommen. Vi deltager i søndagens gudstjeneste i den historiske kirke.

Abfahrt Sonntagnachmittag nach Hald und den schönen „Hügeln“ in Dollerup. Durch Heidelandschaften und Plantagen. Wir wandern auf dem Jütlandkamm zum Jelling der Wikingerkönige, das auf der UNESCO-Liste des Weltkulturerbes steht. Wir besuchen das spannende Erlebniszentrum, das die Geschichte der Wikingerzeit, der dänischen Könige und ihrer Bauten sowie des Übergangs zum Christentum erzählt. Wir besuchen den Sonntagsgottesdienst in der historischen Kirche.

We leave Jelling with the hilly landscape. Further on the beautiful Vejle Ådal, up to the ‘old border’ between Germany and Denmark, by the Kongeå. Past Tørning Mølle with the mighty castle bank, the place has played a central role in the medieval many power struggles between Danish and Holstein counts. Last day’s hike to Padborg, the border with Germany. The trip ends with service in Padborg church.

Vi forlader Jelling med det kuperede landskab. Videre af den flotte Vejle Ådal, frem til ’den gamle grænse’ mellem Tyskland og Danmark, ved Kongeåen. Forbi Tørning Mølle med den mægtige borgbanke, stedet har spillet en central rolle i middelalderens mange magtkampe mellem danske og holstenske grever. Sidste dags vandring frem til Padborg, grænsen til Tyskland. Turen afsluttes med andagt i Padborg.

Wir verlassen Jelling mit seiner hügeligen Landschaft. Weiter durch das schöne Vejle Ådal, bis zur ‚alten Grenze‘ zwischen Deutschland und Dänemark, durch die Kongeå. Vorbei an Tørning Mølle mit dem mächtigen Burgwall, hat der Ort eine zentrale Rolle in den vielen Machtkämpfen zwischen dänischen und holsteinischen Grafen im Mittelalter gespielt. Letzte Tageswanderung nach Padborg, an die Grenze zu Deutschland. Die Reise endet mit einem Gottesdienst in der Kirche von Padborg.
